Salisbury Chapter
Order of DeMolay
Example HR

Hello DeMolay Brethren and Internet surfers and welcome to our web page. Over the past few years, our Chapter has experienced some negative growth, but two of our members are now State officers. Past Master Councilor Leroy Jacob Graefe, III is now the Deputy State Master Councilor, and Past Master Councilor Douglas Hooker is currently serving as State Scribe

Our members proudly take part in the Maryland State Highway Administration Adopt-A-Highway Program, helping to keep the streets in our state litter free!

We hope that this web site helps you to know us a little better and understand even more about the Order of DeMolay, the worlds greatest fraternity for young men!

Our Background

Salisbury Chapter, Order of DeMolay was chartered in 1924. We were sponsored by the Salisbury York Rite Bodies. Currently, our sponsoring bodies are Wicomico Lodge, #91 A.F. & A.M., and Centennial Lodge, #221 A.F. & A.M., both located in Salisbury, Md. We meet on the 1st and 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of every month at the Salisbury Masonic Temple located at 110 N. Division Street in Salisbury. All of our meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. We meet year round. Some of our distinguished alumni include: Michael W. Farlow, Past Maryland State Master Councilor, former Town Councilman from Pittsville, Maryland and currently an Assistant State?s Attorney for Worcester County; Sampson G. Vincent, Deputy State's Attorney for Wicomico County; Davis R. Ruark, State's Attorney for Wicomico County; the Honorable James A. Kenney, III, Judge of Maryland's Court of Special Appeals; and U.S. Senator Paul S. Sarbanes.

The Order of DeMolay is the world's greatest and largest fraternity for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. There are chapters in all fifty states, as well in eight foreign countries. Our main goal is to help make us better, while we are still young men, which will in turn help us to become good adults. We do not discriminate against any one because of their race. Members must love and serve God, but other than that, their religious opinions are their own. In our Order, we base our teachings on our Seven Cardinal Virtues: Brotherly Love, Reverence for Sacred Things, Courtesy, Comradeship, Fidelity, Cleanness and Patriotism.
